Without question Barcelona is one of Europe’s liveliest and most vibrant cities. Not only has Barcelona got an exciting mix of culture and excitement, but also the added benefit of a golden sandy beach on the Mediterranean.
There are no sights in Barcelona that seem not to have been touched by the hand of Gaudi with the stunning cathedral, Gothic Quarter and the Picasso museum. The ramblas is the central hub of Barcelona and it’s a great place to shop, eat, drink and just sit back and people watch.
No visit to Barcelona is complete without visiting the enormous sporting mecca that is the Neu Camp stadium.
In the evening Barcelona has a choice for every taste with some excellent cafes and restaurants on the Ramblas, tapas bars in the Gothic Quarter and seafood restaurants in the Barceloneta, and for the more lively nightlife its worth visiting the Olympic area.
A visit to the beach is a must to soak up some of Spains fantastic weather and Barcelona’s Mare Magnum marina is the place to be seen mixing with the jet sets both night and day.
