The city of Copenhagen is a very interesting place indeed. It is a serene place with beautiful scenery, yet a busy, charming and thriving cultural city where history blends well with modern times. Copenhagen is Denmark’s capital and also the largest and only major city in Scandinavia, making it home to large commercial and financial organisations.

Copenhagan is home to many outstanding museums and artists, like the very famous Thorvaldsen, famed for his unusual talent of drawing from the age of eleven. There are many galleries to visit, the uniquely enchanting Tivoli Gardens, an amusement park right in the heart of the city, and the oldest monarchy in the world. Copenhagen has a host of attractions to suit all tastes.

When the evening sets in you will be spoilt for choice. Nyhavn and Boltens Gaard are both popular nightlife destinations amongst many others. Café Victor is a smart and friendly bistro/bar serving excellent Danish food. The Dubliner is an Irish restaurant and music pub featuring live Irish folk and rock music. The major two clubs are Rust and Vega, both of which have an international reputation and draw the top DJs and live acts. The Vega complex located in Vesterbro is one of the most popular nightlife venues.
